Go on an alphabet adventure with a weekly- ABC Letter series.  Each KIT is a new weekly letter and includes a ready to assemble craft to help children learn the ABCs! Come back each week for a new letter!

Join us for a night with critically acclaimed comic artist, Raina Telgemeier! Raina is the author and illustrator of the graphic novels Smile, Drama, Sisters, Ghosts, and Guts, all #1 New York Times bestsellers. She also adapted and illustrated four graphic novel versions of Ann M. Martin’s Baby-Sitters Club series, and has contributed short stories to many anthologies. New in 2024, The Cartoonists Club — a one-of-a-kind graphic novel from Raina and Scott McCloud. Raina’s accolades include six Eisner Awards, a Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor, a Stonewall Honor, and many Best-of and Notables lists. Raina grew up in San Francisco, then moved to New York City, where she earned an illustration degree at the School of Visual Arts. Raina currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA. Children's Librarian Genevieve Grove will join Raina in conversation.

Letters to Santa

Event Details:

Children can use the mailbox in Children’s World to send a letter to Santa.  Santa will respond to every letter he gets with a special signed by Santa “Nice List” Certificate you'll receive in your very own mailbox!  Make sure to put your address on the letter you send.

During the month of December, the Grinch will be hidden somewhere in Children’s World. The first person to find the Grinch can claim a prize in Children’s World.

Event Details:

Join us for a seasonal winter container garden program.  Peggy Garvin of Garvin Gardens brings fresh greens, decorations, and expertise to create a festive outdoor pot!  Please bring your own pruners. Refreshments will be provided.
